“NGOs like OSF and National Democratic Institute (NDI) are more interested to have regime change on a constitutionally elected government said Tunku at a press conference.

Social activist Tunku Aziz claims the Open Society Foundation (OSF) led by billionaire George Soros is only interested to bring about regime change in certain countries.

He was commenting about the OSF when lately certain pressure groups have highlighted that Malaysiakini, Merdeka Centre and Bersih are funded by the American non-governmental organisation (NGO).

“NGOs like OSF and National Democratic Institute (NDI) are more interested to have regime change on a constitutionally elected government.

“They don’t bother on the sovereign and constitution of a country,” said Tunku to reporters at Eastin Hotel here today.

Tunku also referred that the American uses their foreign policy as a vehicle to intervene in countries like Libya, Egypt, Iraq and Syria which led to unrest among the people.

Tunku added that Bersih kicked off with an intention to advocate free and fair election, however lately their doctrine was hijacked by certain political propagandists.

“America can’t teach us democracy. We have a better process here in Malaysia.

“Political democracy in America is immature.

“Look what happen when president elect Donald Trump won the White House race.

“Some of them were incited to carry out anti-Trump protest something alike with Bersih protest.” added Tunku Aziz.

It was reported that OSF chaired by Soros had been funding several local organisations in its programmes to influence the outcome of the next general election.

Tunku also urged the government to monitor closely the NGOs attempting to overthrow the present government of the day by scrutinising their yearly financial accounts.
